Hearing the Voice of God

 This happened back when I was still a devout Christian. I'm not a Christian anymore - I don't believe in the deity of Christ and I don't participate in Christian traditions - but I do still believe in the same God that I had a relationship with then. It was junior or senior year of high school. I was starting to really look into colleges and majors. I wanted to major in creative writing, because that was one of my favorite things to do in the world. My only worry was that it wasn't a very steady source of income. But I was a high-schooler, and less worried about that lol My second choice of career would have been an interior designer, if that gives you some idea of the pie-in-the-sky ideas I had back then! Anyway. My show choir went on this long trip - we were originally supposed to go to Toronto to sing in a choir competition, but then SARS happened. So we curtailed the trip and only went as far as Lake Erie, then Niagara, then back down to Watkins Glen, and home agai...

Premonition on a Ladder

 I've been trying to go through my life lately and remember strange and supernatural things that happened to me that I have since forgotten or dismissed. It's part of reteaching myself to believe in the mystical. I was trying to think the other night of a situation where I predicted the future. And I thought of one. At least, I think I predicted the future. I also immediately averted it, so I have no way of knowing. This was in college, my junior year. At my school we had a tradition called Senior Night, which occurred the night before the last day of classes. The students would kind of run wild on campus that night - party on the green, "decorate" profs' offices, etc. Some friends and I were hanging out in one of the academic buildings, which of course was otherwise never open at that hour of the night, and were exploring a bit. Omens & Confirmations

 This post is the entire reason I started this blog: I wanted to tell this story. Not only to hopefully get some validation from others, but also to cement what happened in my own mind. As stated in my intro, I'm a diviner and card-reader, but lately I've been watching YouTube channels like Awaken with Victoria Bond about mediumship. I'm a greedy little witch: whenever I find an area of magic that I don't know how to do yet, I go, "Ooo! I want that!" and then go look into expanding my abilities in that area. Between the YouTube videos and the The Telepathy Tapes (ngl), I started getting really interested in psychic phenomena and a view of the world in which matter arises from consciousness instead of the other way around. Fascinating stuff. The best way to learn to be a medium and practice mediumship is to practice, and it's best to practice on people you don't know well, so you're not distracted by all the things you already know about them. Welcome to the Grove!

 Hello all! I've had previous blogs on various platforms, but they've been about different topics. I really wanted to start one about my ongoing spiritual journey, so that's what this blog is going to be for. A quick introduction: I left Christianity in 2020 (it was an amicable divorce lol) and finally allowed myself to pursue the mystical and magical practices I had always longed for deep down. I now call myself a witch, and I have a speciality in divination. I've dabbled in a number of divination systems (in fact, I have an addiction a huge collection of divination decks and devices lol), but the three systems I'm most familiar with and have used the most are Lenormand, Tarot, and Runestaves.
